The old dormitories at Savior Children Home had long been unsuitable for children. k The old dormitories at Savior Children Home had long been unsuitable for children. The roof had holes,
rain leaked through, and during heavy storms, the children had to be relocated to other buildings. The beds were damaged, there was no proper storage for clothing – it was no longer a safe or dignified space.
Now, this heartfelt project could finally be realized: the dormitories were fully renovated and rebuilt as a
two-storey building. There is now enough space for around 60 children to sleep in safe, dry, and
thoughtfully furnished rooms. Separate rooms were created for older and younger children, providing
age-appropriate space and calm. It is now more than just a place to sleep – it’s a real retreat, a space
where the children can feel at ease, where they have room for their personal belongings, and where it’s
possible to keep things in order. A piece of home in their everyday lives.
