Savior Children Home
Kasoa, Ghana
2019

The first year was about getting to know the Savior Home better. We needed to feel how the children were doing, how they lived and where we could support them. We tried to talk to Patrick, but he seemed visibly overwhelmed and a little overwhelmed by the unexpected offer of help. Together we drew up an essential product, such as grain, oil, eggs, medication and detergent. We then went straight to the market, bought everything and stopped by later.

During this time, we could get an impression of the Savior Children’s Home. From the first moment, we felt a strong connection to the place. The children are filled with joy and gratitude, the love with which Patrick runs the orphanage.

Even though Patrick was reserved and reserved at first, and we didn’t feel the connection she is today, we knew that Patrick was doing his best to take care of the children and that they appreciated him very much. The orphanage was messy, with clothes, garbage, and so on. We have agreed with Patrick that he will improve in these areas, with a view to further projects.
