We have supported the Savior Childrenhome since 2019 and regularly spend time with the children anytime we are in Ghana. We got to know about it through a small local non-profit organisation that is committed to the introduction of health insurance for children. The Founder told us about Savior and how they desperately need support.
The children’s home is located in Kasoa, about 1 hour from the capital Accra. When we met the children and the owner of the children’s home, Patrick, in 2019, they lacked basic goods. They did not have enough money reserves to buy enough food for the children and everyday goods such as detergent and clothing.
We strongly bonded with the place and the children from our first visit. There is joy and gratitude for the attention and time we give them has enchanted us. The love with which Patrick runs the home of the children and the school is immediately noticeable
Sixty children live in the orphanage, and 600 more from the surrounding area come to school free of charge. They only have to pay for the food.
